At Go To Know, we are committed to providing students with a safe, organised, and memorable travel experience. As part of our ongoing personalisation efforts, all participants on our international trips have traditionally received our signature Go To Know–coloured hats and luggage label tags to ensure easy identification throughout the journey. We are pleased to announce that we are now adding Go To Know suitcase cover, customised with each student’s name, to the travel kit for all international trips. These durable covers protect belongings while making every student’s luggage instantly recognisable. We look forward to seeing our travellers proudly use their personalised Go To Know set!

Risk Management Plan for Student Travel – International trip:
Organizing a successful overseas school trip requires careful planning with student safety as the top priority. A thorough risk assessment goes beyond the basic itinerary—it identifies potential hazards and establishes clear protocols to protect students and provide peace of mind for parents and teachers. The assessment must address the unique challenges of international travel, including detailed supervision strategies, foreign healthcare systems, and nighttime safety measures. It should cover transportation safety standards for coaches and planes, including seat belts and specific airport procedures. Plans for medical emergencies are essential, ensuring staff are first aid trained with access to local contacts and hospitals. Activity-specific controls are crucial, especially for high-risk adventures like cycling or water sports, with proper equipment and strict safety regulations. Accommodation safety, including room allocations and hazard removal, must also be considered. A well-constructed risk assessment ensures an enriching, safe experience for everyone.

Arrive Fresh: Your Guide to Beating Jet lag to Far East
To help manage jet lag on our eastward journey to the Far East, a little preparation goes a long way. In the days before we travel, try gradually shifting your sleep schedule by going to bed 15-30 minutes earlier each night. Once on the plane, set your watch to the destination time immediately to start thinking in your new time zone. Stay well-hydrated by drinking plenty of water. During the flight, use an eye mask and earplugs to try and sleep when it’s nighttime in the destination. Upon arrival, get outside into the morning sunlight as soon as you can, as this is the most powerful signal to reset your body clock. Most importantly, resist the urge to nap and push through until a local bedtime to help your body adjust quickly. Let’s all work together to adapt smoothly and enjoy our adventure.
